Miramar Air Show

Location: Marine Corps Air Station Miramar

The air show includes performance from different battalions of the US Marines. It also includes performance from private sectors and the famous Blue Angels from the Navy. Try to arrive early because it is a military base and security is tight. Every vehicle is searched and everyone needs identification. The driver required to show driver license and prove and insurance and vehicle registration. It is an amazing event, but it is recommended to plan ahead. You might not see vendors in your area.

There are different types of seating, I recommend to book an area with shade and food. You will have your moment for photos and you will be able to tour some of the vehicles and aircrafts before the show starts.


Miramar Air Show

The Orange International Street Fair (OISF) is an event that happens every year during the Labor Day weekend. It starts on the Friday of that week, at 5:00 PM until 10:00PM then Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM until 10:00PM. This event includes live music, games, petting zoo, and other attractions.
The streets are marked by country or theme. For example, the Kids’ Street has more games and activities only for the kids. The Italian’s Street has food, activities, and music from Italy. Alcohol is sold after 5:00PM and everyone is allowed to drink on the streets where the vent is happening, until 10:00PM. All sales are to support the non-profit organizations in the community.

Temecula is a great place for wine lovers. Even better if you can see the beautiful winery landscape from the sky. Balloon rides are usually very early in the morning when the wind is most favorable.

Depending on where you are located, you might need to wake up as early as of 4:00AM in the morning to get ready and drive to the meeting location and from there, a van will take you to the place where you will aboard the balloon.

VANS US Open of Surfing

Weather you love surfing or not, the US Open of Surfing is a party on the beach on the streets of Huntington Beach. This a popular Southern California event.The city has amazing restaurants, bars, and shops in the areas. It has a diverse and energetic crowd that gives live to the event. Local and international surfers meet every year at this location to compete in the beautiful beach of the city of Huntington Beach.


The Los Angeles Marathon is an international event open for everyone that meets the requirements. The race starts at the Dodgers’ Stadium in Los Angeles and ends in Santa Monica. The maximum net race time is set at 6 hours and 30 minutes for 26.2 miles.

LA County Fair brings the country into the city. The fair event is in Pomona where vendors from different places provide entertainment, games, food, and smiles to all visitors. Newport Beach Boat Parade

It is very nice from these boat owners to decorate their little and mega yachts with Christmas lights and music, to entertain the visitors of Newport Beach. There are many different locations where you can see the Boat Parade. Just follow the path of water around Newport Beach or the Peninsula. Another option is getting into a charter yacht to enjoy the show.

Festival of Lights

One of the best Christmas event in the area or maybe the best. The park is surrounded by art galleries and museums. During Festival of Light (a.k.a. December Nights), the park is decorated for the season. The festival includes many different activities and just to mention as few: Christmas Choir, The Nutcrackers, The Grinch, traditional food from many different countries, arts display, snow machine, and more. The center stage has the main choir with a magical Christmas tree from where the choir will come out (spoiler alert). You will also find dancers from different cultures. It’s a night a happiness. Remember to pack extra layers in your backpack because it gets cold later night.

The Rose Parade

One of the first major Southern California events starting the new year is the Tournament of the Roses that follows with of display of floats made out of roses. The display start in the month of December for those that want to see the floats before participate in the parade. You can also participate as volunteer and support one of the institutions participating in the parade.
